ASC San Diego Kicks Off Exhibition Schedule Versus Xolos

San Diego, CA – ASC San Diego kicked off its pre-season schedule behind closed doors on Saturday with an exhibition versus local neighbors Xolos of Tijuana, Mexico. The match included players from San Diego and abroad looking to earn a roster position on Head Coach Ziggy Korytoski’s team for the upcoming 2018 NPSL Season.

Impressive in their trial for the Red, White and Blue were local product Eric Avila and former San Diego State University defender Aleks Berkholtz. A number of recognizable names were also on the field including Captain Kuba Waligorski, goalkeeper Jean Antoine, Felipe Liborio, Sergio Enriquez and 2017 NPSL Leading Goal Scorer Amani Walker.

“We have a great group of guys that are returning and the amount of talent that we have here on trial could make this season a very special one for the entire city,” pronounced Korytoski after the workout. “We are excited to build on the success of our first two seasons – on and off the field, and look forward to bringing a National Championship to San Diego.”
